I tried not to laugh, really I did.
Piping hot, the coffee sat at his side waiting for his complete attention. One sip, and the cup slipped from his hands, falling to his lap. I watched stunned, as the formerly sleepy man did a mad dance in the living room, stripping out of black jeans while moving toward the bathroom.
I followed him there. First inquiring after his health, I meekly asked if he needed any help whilst he doused, well, himself with cold water.
Now donned in loose fitting boxers and a One Time Blind tee, he sits in the same chair watching "Kavic, Hero of the Arctic," and comments aloud that coffee still sounds like a good idea.
I sit in here where he can't see; shoulders shaking as I muffle my hysterical laughter.
