Nope it's not a typo.
Spent last evening coaxing my mother to drink water, and made her some cream of rice cereal. Found out that she's been taking the wrong meds. She seems to have aged significantly since she re-married. Maybe it would have happened anyway...
Don't have much today. Just meh.
Has anybody else seen a show on PBS that has these creatures that look like large, colorful hershey's kisses with arms and legs? They don't speak but make these farting noises. Anyway, there was a segment with real people and they had a problem. They wanted to run, but there was not enough room to run and play because they were on an island. So they stood scratching their heads, and then looked down and saw a chain. The two of them began pulling on it, struggling like whatever was on the other end of the chain (which extended out into the water)was very heavy. I asked Isaiah what he thought they would be pulling in. I was thinking, "Oh they are pulling a boat in, so they can go somewhere there is more room to run". To my surprise he said, "A lid, you know, like we have in our bathtub." What the???? Sure enough, they pulled and pulled, and it was a plug which let the water out around the island, giving them more land on which to run. How the heck did he think
of that?

Okay, I related this story to Joe, but before telling him Isaiah's answer, I asked him what he thought they were pulling. He said, "The plug, to let the water out." Again, What the???? They definitely are related.

I think soul patches, piercings and tattoos are kinda cool; attitudes are not. Sometimes I lie in bed and think about weird things.. like why I like the taste of bubblemint gum, but despise the taste of our youngest son's bubblemint flavored toothpaste, or if our older children have already met their future spouses, how amazing it is that I've been married to the same man for thirty-two years, and why dryer lint looks the way it does. I hate having cold feet, being too hot, and stubbing my pinkie toe. I like to read pretty much anything but angsty poetry, well no I lied..not about the angsty poetry, but I don't much like to read biographies either. Laundry is the bane of my existence, along with cleaning out the refrigerator, and just plain cleaning.
